Continuing the momentum of our recent Future Neighbourhoods 2030: Net-Zero Strategy launch, we are excited to introduce a selection of new climate action projects. These three new initiatives aim to promote sustainability in the Waterloo area by encouraging the local community to get involved.
Join our Climate Action Group
To celebrate London Climate Action Week, we are launching the Waterloo Climate Action Group, which brings together people from across the community to discuss local sustainability initiatives and ways to get involved with them. From guerilla gardeners to energy-saving experts, join us to hear updates from passionate sustainability professionals operating in the Waterloo area and find out how you can take climate action today.
Join us at The Three Stags from 4:00 – 5:30pm on Thursday 29 June. Find out more here.
Waterloo Gardening Club Sessions
Want to help make the local area more sustainable? The Waterloo Gardening Club is looking for volunteers to help maintain the area’s planters and pocket parks and contribute to the urban greening of the neighbourhood. Join Frances on Wednesday lunchtime (12:30pm) at the Leake Street pocket park outside of Sino Thai for a drop-in session of planting, weeding and pruning with local workers and residents looking to make a difference on their doorstep.
For the next session, meet outside Sino Thai at 12:30pm on Wednesday 28 June. Find out more here.
