Want to help take action against climate change in your community? Join this Waterloo Climate Action Group event to get involved today!

Fighting climate change can sometimes feel like an insurmountable task. However, there are many ways to take climate action right here in Waterloo.

To celebrate London Climate Action Week, we are launching the Waterloo Climate Action Group, which brings together people from across the community to discuss local sustainability initiatives and ways to get involved with them. From guerilla gardeners to energy-saving experts, join us to hear updates from passionate sustainability professionals operating in the Waterloo area and find out how you can take climate action today.

Hosted by local non-profit WeAreWaterloo, the event will also outline our own sustainability updates whilst also platforming Waterloo workers, residents and community groups to share their own experiences of local climate action.

The theme of this first event is Climate Action in a Cost of Living Crisis aims to challenge the perceived trade-off between sustainability and financial success.

  • 4:15 – 4:30 – Introduction and updates from WeAreWaterloo BID
  • 4:30 – 4:45 – Beyond Procurement: Reducing Cost and Carbon
  • 4:45 – 5:00 – Climate Action updates from the community
  • 5:00 – 5:30 – Networking drinks and food

Join us at The Three Stags (recently named as one of Time Out’s most sustainable London restaurants) on Thursday 29 June (4:00-5:30pm) for food, drinks and interesting discussions with climate-conscious local residents and businesses.
