At WeAreWaterloo we love a party – especially, if that party brings new visitors to explore the Waterloo area or give local workers an excuse to stay after work. That’s why we work with local businesses to create an exciting programme of promotional events aimed at creating buzz in the area.
PRETTY VACANT
We hate seeing spaces in Waterloo go to waste – for every unit left vacant we can think of a whole host of temporary creative uses that could enliven the street. Therefore, we launched Pretty Vacant – a scheme aimed at activating empty spaces whilst the landlord searches for a long-term tenant.
DESTINATION MARKETING
We’re on a mission to debunk the myth that Waterloo is little more than a train station or an ABBA lyric. That’s why we run destination marketing campaigns across a variety of platforms to increase footfall and put the area on the map.

Discover discounts on your doorstep with STAR Card, a local offers scheme for those who live, work and study in Waterloo and South Bank. What’s more, WeAreWaterloo BID members can promote their businesses on the platform for free!
