We are excited to announce that we have received our first Carbon Neutral certification through Beyond Procurement!

As part of our commitment to our 5 Year Plan and our Business Plan 2024 our team has been keen on ensuring our BID enhances the environment and delivers on our Climate Action Plan ensuring that our community is aligned with best practices to save the planet.

In order to encourage businesses to embark on this journey, we wanted to share our internal commitment to sustainable practices and embark on our journey to becoming a Net Zero organisation. The Carbon Neutral status reflects the investment we have made to offset 5.25 tonnes of carbon dioxide.

This achievement is part of a longer process to become Net Zero certified which means that our next step is to tackle any unavoidable emissions in our services and supply chain that are either offset or removed.

We look forward to updating you about our Net Zero journey and any business that wants to learn more about what they can do to become Carbon Neutral can reach out to zan@wearewaterloo.co.uk so that we can support you on your journey.
