Attention all Southwark businesses! Are you looking to reduce operating costs and make an impact?  Free audits, recommendations and training are available to Southwark-based SMEs.

Introducing the Southwark Climate Collective, a new programme available to SMEs in Southwark. Participants will benefit from a free audit, bespoke recommendations and support in one of the following areas: 

  • Minimising waste: auditors will collect a sample of your general waste on an agreed date (in either kerbside sacks or wheeled bins), analyse the contents of the sample, and advise on ways to reduce your general waste output and related costs, and increase recycling rates.  
  • Consolidating deliveries: the team will support you to conduct a review of regular deliveries and servicing visits to and from your business, and identify opportunities for consolidation, increased efficiency and cost savings.  
  • Driving energy efficiency: specialists will come and inspect your workplace, assess your energy consumption, and provide personalised recommendations, with the potential to make savings of over £8000 per year.  
  • More sustainable supply chains: experts will conduct a review of your regular suppliers, assess their carbon footprint and provide recommendations for prioritising sustainability in your procurement decisions. 

The programme will celebrate the diversity of businesses in Southwark, looking to engage a range of sectors, ethnicities, sexualities and abilities.
