Business Spotlights

We are excited to welcome The Pop Up Club to Lower Marsh as part of our Pretty Vacant strategy. This initiative is our solution to the increasing challenge of empty storefronts on our high streets. By transforming these vacant spaces, we aim to enhance the local community with vibrant businesses.

About Pretty Vacant

Pretty Vacant is our strategic effort to revitalise Waterloo by temporarily repurposing empty retail units. We work closely with landlords to enliven these spaces with art, culture, and commerce, keeping the area vibrant while long-term tenants are sought. Given the current economic landscape, securing permanent leaseholders can take time, often up to two years. In the meantime, Pretty Vacant ensures that these spaces remain active and appealing.

Welcoming The Pop Up Club

The Pop Up Club offers unique offerings from small businesses, including handmade jewellery, candles, and sustainable products. It’s more than just a store; it’s an inclusive space that supports underrepresented businesses. The Pop Up Club brings a burst of colour and creativity to the area with its beautifully crafted, limited-edition items.

During our conversation with The Pop Up Club staff, it was clear that they were passionate about the impact they’re making in Lower Marsh, describing the store as a “colourful and eye-catching” space filled with unique offerings from small businesses. They pride themselves on supporting underrepresented entrepreneurs, many of whom are just starting out and offering individually crafted, limited-edition products like handmade jewellery and candles. This vibrant, inclusive environment makes The Pop Up Club a valuable addition to the area.

We invite everyone to visit The Pop Up Club on Lower Marsh, explore their unique finds, and support our local creatives!
