Get Ready to paddle for a purpose at the London Ambulance Charity Dragon Boat Race!
Gear up for an exhilarating day of dragon boat racing at Surrey Quays. Hosted by the London Ambulance Service Charitable Fund, this event aims to raise essential funds for the London Ambulance Service NHS Trust.
Teams of 11 will compete in races spanning 200 meters, accompanied by drummers and helmspersons. With a fundraising target of £1650 per team, participants can support vital patient care and staff well-being initiatives.
Event Details:
Mark your calendars for 18 July 2024, at Surrey Quays Docks, starting at 1 pm. After a full safety briefing and demo, you’ll take to the water to take part in a series of races, head to head with other teams to be crowned The London Ambulance Charity Dragon Boat Race winner and lift the trophy.

How to Register:
To enter your team of 11, a ‘team captain’ is required to complete the form linked here. The team captain will then be the main contact to liaise with the charity team and head up recruitment of their team of 10 other members. To then secure your team’s place in the event, a £330 team registration fee is to be donated to London Ambulance Charity Just Giving page linked here. This fee is the equivalent of £30 per person in the 11-person team.
Once the form is submitted and payment is received your team is officially registered to take part!
By registering your team, you agree to fundraise a minimum of £1,650 as a team, that is the equivalent of £150 per person in the team.
