Join IWM for a lecture on War, Genocide and Other Crimes by author, renowned human rights lawyer and UCL Law Professor Philippe Sands.
Get to grips with the stories behind the headlines and feel empowered to understand how we can better prevent, resolve and redress global conflicts. This April, Sands will explore topics of justice, international law, human rights and conflict resolution in a year when tensions are flaring up around the world. We’ll consider conflicts including Ukraine, Sudan and Israel-Gaza.
The IWM Institute Annual Lecture series invites the world’s prominent speakers to find solutions to the most pressing conflict-related issues of today. Previous speakers include former UK foreign secretary David Miliband and celebrated historian Professor Margaret MacMillan.
