WeAreWaterloo is working towards NABCRP accreditation

WeAreWaterloo is delighted to be one of the newest members of National Association of Business Crime Partnerships (NABCP), the national body that supports Business Crime Reduction Partnerships across the UK. By working towards NABCRP accreditation, WeAreWaterloo is working to meet recognised national industry standards, provide reassurance to local businesses and partners, and further strengthen efforts to create a safe and welcoming environment for everyone in Waterloo.

To mark Business Crime Reduction Partnership Awareness Week, WeAreWaterloo is pleased to be working towards accreditation from the National Association of Business Crime Partnerships (NABCP), the national body that supports Business Crime Reduction Partnerships across the UK.

This step reflects the collaborative work already taking place across Waterloo to support businesses, share intelligence and help create a safer environment for everyone who lives, works and visits the area. WeAreWaterloo works closely with local partners including the police, businesses, and our dedicated patrol team to coordinate responses to crime and anti-social behaviour.

The NABCP plays an important role in strengthening partnerships like ours. The organisation sets national standards, promotes best practice and supports consistent approaches to tackling business-related crime across the country. Being part of this wider network will allow WeAreWaterloo to connect with similar partnerships nationwide, share learning and contribute to conversations about how to support businesses more effectively.

As part of this process, WeAreWaterloo will now begin working towards formal NABCRP accreditation for our Business Crime Reduction Partnership. Achieving accreditation would:

  • Demonstrate that our partnership meets recognised national standards for governance and crime reduction.
  • Provide reassurance to local businesses and partners that information-sharing and safety initiatives are well managed and effective.
  • Strengthen the collective voice of Waterloo businesses in national discussions around crime prevention and business safety.

WeAreWaterloo looks forward to progressing through the accreditation process and sharing updates as this work develops.
