Waterloo East Station will be closed for 22 days from Sunday 26 July to Sunday 16 August 2026 as part of a major £20 million railway upgrade programme.
Network Rail will be carrying out essential engineering works including track renewals, drainage upgrades at Waterloo East station, and improvements to the infrastructure between London Charing Cross and Waterloo East.
During the closure, alternative routes into London will remain open. Passengers are advised to check with South Eastern Railway for service updates and plan their journeys in advance.
This investment is part of the Kent and South East London Railway Upgrade Plan, aimed at improving reliability and capacity for the future.
