Waterloo Community Counselling Seeks New Trustees

Waterloo Community Counselling (WCC) is recruiting for voluntary Trustee positions on its Board and is inviting applications from individuals who want to make a meaningful difference in their community.

With two current vacancies on a Board of ten Trustees (including the Chair), this is an opportunity to help guide a local charity that provides vital, multilingual counselling services to people who may otherwise face barriers to mental health support.

Mental health affects everyone, and the work of organisations like WCC is more crucial than ever. As demand for accessible, inclusive support grows, charities need strong, diverse Boards that reflect the communities they serve and bring a wide range of skills to the table.

Whether you’re an experienced Trustee or looking to take your first step at board level, WCC welcomes your interest.

The charity is especially seeking Trustees with skills in:

  • Finance – strategic financial insight and/or charity accounting experience
  • Income generation and fundraising – including donor engagement, partnerships, or fundraising strategy

How to apply

To apply, email your CV and LinkedIn profile to the Chair, Hazel Flynn, at wcctrustees@waterloocc.co.uk, along with a short covering email (no more than 300 words).

In your email, please explain:

  • Why you’re interested in becoming a Trustee at WCC

  • What skills and experiences you bring

  • Your relevance to the areas of finance and/or fundraising

Deadline for applications: Friday 15 August
Interviews: Planned online during the weeks of 1 and 8 September
New Trustees will be appointed at the October Board meeting

More information is available on Charity Job and the WCC website.
