Try our new interactive data dashboards for Waterloo businesses

As part of our manifesto commitments and first 100 days post-ballot deliverables, we are pleased to launch our new Data Dashboards feature for BID members.

WeAreWaterloo has long used data internally to inform decisions, shape projects and support local businesses. From assessing the feasibility of a Saturday Market to measuring the impact of events, data has played an important role in helping us understand what works and how we can better serve the area.

We now want to make more of these insights available to our members.

Powered by the Greater London Authorities High Street Data Service, our new interactive 2025/26 Annual Dashboard gives businesses a clearer view of what is happening across the BID area, with insights covering footfall and spend trends, the busiest days of the week, dwell time and where visitors to Waterloo are coming from.

Going forward, we will also publish smaller Quarterly Data Dashboards, helping members stay up to date with changing trends throughout the year.

Both reports are interactive, allowing users to explore the data and focus on the areas most relevant to them. Our quarterly dashboards also include a Day & Time Activity section, where members can drill down into average footfall, dwell time and spend by day of the week and 3-hour period.

This can help businesses answer questions such as:

Which evenings offer the strongest opportunity for late trading or extended opening hours?

During the working week, when are people spending the most time in the area?

How do weekday and weekend spending patterns differ, and what could this mean for staffing, potential STAR Card offers or opening hours?

We can also provide more tailored insights where members have specific questions that the dashboards do not fully answer. As the data covers the wider BID area, future quarterly dashboards may also include seasonal insights, event analysis or focused research into emerging trends.

You can view the 2025/26 Annual Dashboard here and the Q4 2025/26 Dashboard here. For the best experience, we recommend viewing the dashboards on a desktop browser.
