Sista Barista – A Waterloo Business Making Circular Moves

WeAreWaterloo is proud to celebrate Sista Barista, one of our very own local cafés, for being awarded a grant through ReLondon’s High Streets Beyond Waste programme.

Announced in October during Circular Economy Week, ReLondon awarded funding of up to £5,000 to a group of food and drink businesses across London that are pioneering zero-waste initiatives. The scheme supports reuse, repair, sharing, and recycling business models, helping local businesses reduce waste, cut costs, and build stronger customer relationships.

For Sista Barista, the grant marks a significant opportunity. As part of their “beyond waste” work, they’ll be able to explore practical steps like reducing food waste, reusing coffee grounds, or switching to reusable service items – all supported by ReLondon’s expert business advisors.

We look forward to seeing how Sista Barista uses this funding to embed circular practices into their daily business – and how their success will inspire other local high-street businesses to go “beyond waste.”
