Planned Demonstration – Saturday 13 September

We would like to advise you of a large-scale event in the South Bank/Waterloo and surrounding area this Saturday.

Details

  • Event: Urban Scoop and Tommy Robinson ‘Free Speech’ Festival
  • Assembly: Stamford Street (IMAX) from 10:45 AM
  • March: From 1:00 PM –  route via York Rd → Westminster Bridge → Whitehall
  • Access: Attendees encouraged to arrive via Blackfriars Rd

The event is expected to draw several thousand attendees and may cause significant disruption in the area throughout the day. We continue to liaise closely with the Metropolitan Police regarding the potential impacts on businesses, residents, employees, and visitors. They have confirmed that a robust policing plan will be in operation on Saturday, with a strong presence on both the main route and side streets.

If you have any particular concerns or questions relating to operations of your business on Saturday, please do get in touch via email info@wearewaterloo.co.uk. We will share additional updates if plans change and additional information comes in from the Metropolitan Police.
