Isabella Street

Do you know what you can find on this Waterloo street?

When we ran a recent competition we were amazed to find a large number of readers had no idea about the existence of Isabella Street - one of the best places to eat and drink south of the river.

Isabella Street can be found by walking up The Cut and turning into either Hatfields at the junction of The Anchor and Hope or into Joan Street just west of Southwark Station.

Visitors to the pedestrian-only street are greeted by a huge flower and plant display and numerous outdoor tables and chairs, which are perfect for enjoying a beer or bite to eat in the open air.

Businesses which reside in the railway arches on the street include Ev, Jack's Lounge and Thai Silk, all of which are popular for lunchtimes and after-work drinks.
