Volunteer with Lambeth & Croydon Foodbank: Real Impact, Right Here in Waterloo

We’re often asked how local businesses and residents can give back, so we’re spotlighting an incredible local organisation doing vital work across Waterloo and beyond, providing emergency food and support to those who need it most across both boroughs.

Now part of a merged network.
In April 2025, Waterloo Foodbank joined forces with Lambeth South & Croydon Foodbank (formerly Norwood & Brixton Foodbank) to form Lambeth & Croydon Foodbank. The name has changed, and the network has grown, but your support still directly benefits people in and around Waterloo.

Part of the Trussell Trust network, the foodbank runs 12 centres and operates with the support of an inspiring volunteer network. From workplace volunteering to corporate donations, there are plenty of ways for businesses and employees to make a meaningful difference.

Support the Waterloo Community Fridge

Located in the heart of Waterloo, this initiative reduces food waste while supporting local people. Volunteers help restock shelves, tidy the space, and welcome visitors.

Sponsor a Shelf

An easy way for local businesses to make a recurring impact. Sponsor a shelf by donating essential items each month, ensuring steady stock of foodbank staples year-round.

Why It Matters

In the past year alone, Lambeth & Croydon Foodbank distributed over 30,000 food parcels, with demand rising due to the ongoing cost-of-living crisis. Every volunteer shift helps keep the service running, offering support with dignity, care, and compassion.
