Introducing our Community Hub WhatsApp group

The Community Hub page on our website isn’t going anywhere – it’s still your noticeboard. Charities, schools and community groups: keep sending your opportunities, appeals and events over to us and we’ll keep them live there for everyone to browse.

The new Community Hub WhatsApp group sits alongside it as a more direct, real-time channel. It’s the place for the things that move quickly – a volunteer appeal that needs answers this week, a donation offer that’s only good for a few days, an event looking for last-minute support.

Who it’s for?

  • A charity or community organisation – post what you need, share appeals and events, and reach the people around the corner who genuinely want to help. Got a bigger appeal? Send it to us and we’ll broadcast it.
  • A business or worker – find ways to get stuck in. Offer time, skills, space, stock, or just show up. Meet the neighbours doing brilliant things on your doorstep.
  • A school, college or residents’ group – connect with the local business community and be part of what’s happening.

How to join

  • Already in the WhatsApp Community? Add yourself to the Community Hub group from the group list.
  • Not joined yet? Click here, then pick the Community Hub group – and your street group while you’re at it.
  • Local charity, school or community group and not sure where to start? Email susie@wearewaterloo.co.uk and we’ll get you set up.

Waterloo works best when we look out for each other. Come and be part of it.
