The Low Line is one of Waterloo’s most distinctive features – the streets, arches, bridges, and spaces that run alongside the railway viaducts connecting Nine Elms to Waterloo. Now, a new wayfinding project led by Lambeth Council and design team CarverHaggard is asking for your input to make this stretch safer, more welcoming, and easier to navigate.
The project aims to improve signage, routes, and public spaces while celebrating the local businesses, culture, and community life that thrive around the arches. To make it a success, they want to hear directly from those who know the area best – the businesses, workers, and residents who use the Low Line every day.
How you can get involved:
-
Complete the Business Survey: Share your priorities, aspirations, and challenges so the project reflects what matters to local businesses.
-
Encourage your staff and customers to take the Community Survey: A chance for anyone who uses the Low Line to shape its future. QR codes and paper copies are available to share.
-
Attend Drop-In Sessions: These co-design workshops will give you the opportunity to speak directly with the team and influence the plans.
This is your chance to make the Low Line a safer, more accessible, and more vibrant part of Waterloo. Find out more and access the surveys here.
