Community Crime Fighting

The Metropolitan Police have launched a new digital platform called Met Engage, now live across Lambeth – including Waterloo and the South Bank Ward.

Designed to strengthen communication between neighbourhood policing teams and the community, Met Engage allows residents, workers, businesses, and community groups to stay up to date with:

  • Local policing activity

  • Crime prevention advice

  • Real-time safety updates

By signing up, you’ll receive regular updates directly from officers working in your area – helping build transparency, trust, and stronger relationships between the Met and the communities it serves.

Inspector Darren Watson, of the North West Lambeth Neighbourhood Policing Team, explains:

“One of the main aims of Met Engage is to connect more fully with our communities, not just to explain what we’re doing and why, but to listen and involve local people more closely in what matters to them.”

The platform will continue to evolve, with new features in development to make it even more interactive and useful.

Sign up here and learn more.

We encourage all local businesses, residents, and partners to explore the platform and get involved – the more people engaged, the more effective and responsive the service becomes.
