All the flavours of the Ottoman empire combine to make Tas a must visit Waterloo experience.

The restaurant's meze assortments are a particular hit with pre-theatre diners, who find the food enhanced by the early evening buzz of The Cut.

But we tend to sneak in a little later to enjoy the sucuk sausages with a nice glass or two of the Chateau Musar Lebanese red wine.

We are also rather fond of the bread, which is baked on the premises everyday, and the delicious charcoal grilled lamb kofte.

Our little known fact about Tas:
Tas is the name of a traditional Anatolian cooking pot used to prepare casseroles.
