With Tube strikes coming up and Bike Week kicking off on the 8 June, there’s no better time to get cycling in Waterloo – and we’ve got two brilliant local bike shops to help you do it.
XO BIKES on Blackfriars Road are running 10% off all bikes under £349 between 1-7 June to help you beat the strikes. And it’s not just any bike shop -XO is the first venture from the charity Onwards & Upwards, training prison leavers as bike mechanics (or Fixers, as they call them) and refurbishing donated bikes to help fund the mission.
Swapfiets on Hercules Road also have an exclusive STAR Card offer for local workers – a great way to get on two wheels without the commitment of buying. Pop in or chat to the team.
And mark your diaries: Thursday 18 June, 11-2pm, XO BIKES will be hosting our FREE Dr Bike session at Emma Cons Gardens as part of the Sustains Us Garden Party.
