Being a WeAreWaterloo BID member means you’ve got support, opportunities and a local network right on your doorstep – all there for you and your team to use.
Whether it’s promoting your business, improving the space outside your place of work, meeting other local businesses, accessing free training or supporting staff wellbeing, there’s a lot included in your membership.
Looking ahead, if we’re voted back in at the upcoming ballot (deadline 19 February), £4.5m will continue to be invested into Waterloo over the next five years so we can keep delivering and growing these services for local businesses.
Here’s how you can tap into what’s on offer.
Want more visibility for your business? We can help you share what you do with people who live and work locally.
You can get your offers added to the STAR Card, be included in our monthly newsletters and area campaigns, and be featured on our website and social channels like Instagram and TikTok. You can also get involved in local promotions and activity, work with us to put on events, collaborate, or be linked up with other businesses.
Make sure to fill out the marketing form on our website to let us know what you’ve got coming up and how we can help promote it.
Contact Harrie Notton (harrie@wearewaterloo.co.uk) or Holly Snowdon (holly@wearewaterloo.co.uk).
We invest in the environment around your business and help keep the area looking its best.
You can join Rooted and Edible Marsh greening sessions – free monthly lunchtime activities where your team can step outside, take part in hands-on planting, help care for shared spaces and connect with other local BID members. You can also feed into sustainability and wider public realm projects, learn about upcoming placemaking schemes, and report street issues such as graffiti, litter or environmental problems affecting your frontage. Specialist cleaning support and advice on waste reduction are also available.
We also support safety in the area through security initiatives, including patrol presence, forums and training. If you have concerns or incidents affecting your business, we can help connect you to the right support.

Lower Marsh Market is a big part of Waterloo’s character, and we work to support and promote it.
You can visit the market during the week – it’s right on your doorstep and great for lunch or team outings. There are always new traders to discover, regular favourites, and free events and special market days happening throughout the year. It’s a great way to connect with the local community and see what’s happening beyond your office walls.
