Four Years of Green Flag Awards

We’re delighted that Waterloo has been awarded a Green Flag Award for the fourth year running!

The Green Flag Award is the international benchmark for well-managed parks and green spaces, recognising places that are welcoming, well cared for and enjoyed by the communities around them.

Retaining this award for a fourth consecutive year is a testament to the dedication of our gardening and public realm team, who work tirelessly throughout the year to make Waterloo a greener, more biodiverse and enjoyable place to live, work and visit.

From vibrant seasonal planting and pocket parks to sustainable landscaping and community greening initiatives, we’re continually looking for ways to bring more nature into our neighbourhood and create spaces where people want to spend time.

If you’d like to get involved, why not join us at one of our Edible Marsh monthly workshops or Rooted Gardening Club sessions? They’re a great way to learn new skills, meet like-minded people and help keep Waterloo blooming.

Here’s to another year of keeping our green spaces flourishing!
