Waterloo Carnival 2012

Supermen, batmen and fish-headed multi-coloured men marched through Waterloo at this year's carnival.

More than 300 people of all ages got into the carnival spirit by donning a costume on the theme of Superhero.

The procession along Lower Marsh saw costumes ranging from traditional superheroes like Batman and Spider-man to more obscure strawberry-styled garb and some loud half-man half-fish costumes.

A stiltwalker, samba band and some Incredibles also took part in the procession, which went through the Tanswell estate before emerging onto Millennium Green.
