This free event is set to be bigger and better than ever before with choirs from across London accompanied by a young brass-ensemble, the very entertaining Harvey Brough from Harvey and the Wallbangers and, most importantly, members of the public who wish to join in for a good singalong.
With fantastic new festive lighting, historic Lower Marsh again provides the ideal setting for the event where a vintage open top London bus will provide the stage for the carols and modern Christmas favourites from 6-7pm. This year there will be even more reason to stay and enjoy the evening as market traders and local business staying open and providing Christmas treats and cheer in the form of mulled wine, mice pies, stocking fillers, decorations and much more. These activities will continue until 8pm with a musical box of delights from the brass-ensemble.
This year we’ll be covering everything from O come all ye faithful to Mariah. Sheet music and scores for all songs will be distributed ahead of time to any choir taking part, providing the opportunity learn the songs before the event and the words will be handed out to the public at the event.
The event is free but bring some change for the collection buckets - any money raised will be donated to support Choice Support a social care charity providing support to people with learning disabilities across Lambeth and Southwark. The event is fully accessible and seating will be provided and prioritise to any attendee who requires it.
If you and your choir wish to take part please email firstname.lastname@example.org to register your interest, you will then be provided with regular updates, the song choices, sheet music and scores.
The events promotion is being led by WeAreWaterloo and there will is to be an extensive campaign including leaflets, posters, digital calendar countdown and fantastic competitions. If you can offer any assistance in this campaign it will be greatly appreciated and to get involved please email email@example.com.
