A Waterloo institution – whether you’re a Vespa aficionado or not.

While the name might give away owner Craig’s biggest passion, there’s more to Scooter Caffé than bikes.

Chilled in the daytime, buzzing at night, Scooter Caffé caters for everyone. You’ll be sipping a latte while listening to sultry French jazz one minute then rocking out to a more Bluesy sound when the lights dim and the beer starts to flow (an ice-cold bottle of Pacifico is our favourite).

Bob, the female tabby cat you’ll find meandering between table legs, is as permanent a fixture in the bar as the original Piatti scooter in the window. Plenty of scooter fans rock up here to enjoy the drinks and the décor but it’s also popular with the lunchtime crowd.

We come here to people-watch. Sit yourself in a corner and you’ll inevitably overhear some of the craziest conversations on Lower Marsh.

Our little known fact about Scooter Caffé:
Scooter Caffé harbours an acting ambition. It featured in the third Bourne film, Johnny Depp has dropped in for a drink and Ethan Hawke is a regular when he’s in the area.
