An oasis of calm amid the hustle and bustle of Waterloo

Coffee at the Hub Café is a revelation. Young and old stop by for a hot drink, homemade pastry or just a quiet moment away from the busy interchange between Westminster Bridge Road and Kennington Road.

Run by Josh, this is an imaginative combination of all-day café and place of worship. You’ll find everyone here, from passers-by on their way to the Imperial War Museum to the local office workers who use the impressive space for meetings.

Sunny days are when the Hub Café really comes into its own. Light pours in from all angles and the stained glass window adds a dramatic effect as you tuck into a bacon butty of a morning.

We love the lunches – which come piping hot and delicious – not to mention the people watching!

Oh, and did we mention the free Wi-Fi…?

Our little known fact about the Hub Café:
Under the coffee bar, a small pulpit plaque commemorates well-known preacher Rowland Hill – one of the proponents of the smallpox vaccination in the 18th Century.
