New security incident reporting for Waterloo businesses

At WeAreWaterloo, the safety and security of everyone who lives, works or visits the Waterloo area is our number one priority. Increasingly, methods for ensuring this safety must be built upon a strong foundation of incident reporting and data analysis. Alongside our local security partners, we are always looking for ways to improve these reporting processes to gain a better understanding of the issues facing the area.

That is why WeAreWaterloo has launched a new Incident Reporting Form which allows businesses to alert our security team to criminal activity and support attempts to prevent future occurrences. We’re encouraging businesses to add incidents that have already been reported to the police, as well as cases of general anti-social behaviour or evidence of criminals that have got away. This information will then be shared with our local business community.

It is important to note that the form is not a substitute for police reporting but instead aims to create a localised bank of criminal information that supplements traditional policing. The intelligence submitted through this form may then be presented at WeAreWateloo’s Crime & Security Forums provided the business gives permission for us to do so.

To submit a report please click this link – we recommend saving this link as a bookmark in order to more easily report security issues in the future.
