Lambeth Council has recently launched a Commonplace website for Waterloo workers, residents and visitors to have their say about a range of projects taking place in and around the Waterloo area.

Recent consultations have included:

  • The Cut and Greet Street Traffic Restrictions
  • Webber Street Healthy Street Improvements
  • Ufford Street Healthy Street Improvements
  • The Cut Parklets

As a strong proponent of Lambeth Council’s Kerbside Strategy and Climate Action Plan, at WeAreWaterloo we wholeheartedly support these improvements and traffic restrictions. We believe they will promote sustainable active transport such as walking and cycling, reduce local air pollution and have a beneficial impact on the business community, both on The Cut and further afield.

We have also heard very positive feedback from the business community, especially with regard to the new community parklets. Waterloo workers, residents and visitors can have their say on future developments in Waterloo by signing up to the Commonplace here. It takes just a couple of minutes and the information provided will help inform future policy and urban development throughout the local area.
