This year, Love Your Local Market invited residents and visitors to celebrate the vibrant spirit and markets and the impact they have on their local area.

Love Your Local Market fortnight is celebrated yearly, running from 12-27 May, and has been embraced by over 24 countries worldwide. This campaign highlights markets at the heart of local communities, including Waterloo’s Lower Marsh Market!

Lower Marsh Market got behind the campaign launch with a live set from  Sunny Steel Band on Friday 12 May, providing island vibes and playing a diverse medley of Caribbean classics as well as contemporary favourites.

Lower Marsh Market is even holding Lower Marsh Lates to bring our alternative community together for a summer of laughter, irresistible food, affordable drinks and FREE movies under the stars! Starting on 25 May (5:30-8:30pm), these outdoor screenings will take place on Lower Marsh on the last Thursday of the month (May-September). Follow us on socials to keep updated on all the latest Lower Marsh Lates news!
