Mark your calendars for Thursday 7 December for Christmas festivities in Waterloo!

Waterloo is gearing up for a double dose of festive cheer with two exciting events – ‘Together at Christmas on Lower Marsh’ and ‘Miracle on Leake Street’. Organised by WeAreWaterloo in partnership with South Bank BID, visitors can expect a unique blend of heartwarming community festivities and an urban winter wonderland…

Together at Christmas on Lower Marsh

From 11:30 am to 2pm, WeAreWaterloo is bringing the community together to celebrate the holiday season with ‘Together at Christmas on Lower Marsh.’

Wander through charming Christmas craft and food traders, join in the heartwarming community singalong and take part in dance workshops that will get you grooving into the festive mood. The Community Carolathon welcomes visitors to join in to help raise funds for fantastic local charities.

No tickets required – simply come along and enjoy!

The ‘Together at Christmas‘ campaign is part of WeAreWaterloo’s wider campaign that supports local services and service users over the festive period. Find out more here.

Miracle on Leake Street

Later in the evening, Leake Street Arches, usually known for its vibrant graffiti, transforms into the enchanting ‘Miracle on Leake Street’ for another year of festive fun. From 6 – 9pm, this graffiti tunnel will come alive with live entertainment, irresistible street food stalls, and a FREE screening of the holiday classic ‘Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.’

The festivities kick off with a Cabaret performance by the award-winning artist Pi the Mime. Join in with activities such as the graffiti and wreath-making workshops, festive face-painting and a try your hand at a competitive snowboard simulator game.

Any contributions to the wreath making and graffiti workshops, along with donations throughout the evening, will support the Waterloo Foodbank as part of the BID’s ‘Together at Christmas‘ initiative. So, come for the entertainment, stay for the food, and leave with the satisfaction of supporting a local cause.
